Blue house with sun on Lyndhurst Grove

There is a house on Lyndhurst Grove with a blue painted wall and a big orange sun on it.

I am just curious, does anyone know who painted it and why?

it was painted quite a few years ago (we've been here 8 years and I think it wasn't long after we moved here). Fairly soon after they did it some wanker came along and graffitied on it, and they obviously couldn't match the blue paint - such a shame, it really brightens the street up.

I live really close to it (over the road) and very curious about it. Some days I think it's nice and bright and a bit different, some days I think it's dreadful. Oimissus are you on LG as well?
