civilservant
as the nights draw in, i notice increasing numbers of dogs on Goose Green with light-up/flashing collars chasing after light-up ballsI know that it's a good idea to try and increase one's pet's visibility to traffic, pedestrians etc at night, but are blinking LED lights in their peripheral vision good for the dogs themselves? and what about the effect on dog-to-dog socialisation?wouldn't a coat or harness in hi-vis fabric be a better bet?advice please! Should i catch up with this trend and turn my own mutt into a mini Hound of the Baskervilles for our evening walk? I am not really a dog person, but the sight of dogs running around Goose Green with the sheer joy of being a dog, always lifts my spirits. Especially at night with the LED collars. Siduhe
I think they are really useful at night when I'm cycling home - there are a couple of points where I cycle across parks and it's great to be able to see where the dogs are so you can slow down. Pugwash
We used to attach a flashing fob to our dogs when they went out walking at night. Easy to attach onto their collars and taken off when got home Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/267001-lights-and-flashing-collars-on-dogs/#findComment-1461320 Share on other sites
