My daughter is lucky to go to Gumboots and I think it is great. They spend plenty of time outdoors and also in the little garden. Also - have you looked at the weekly menus which are posted up? Their diet is very varied and they now email parents the menu on a 2-weekly basis so you can keep an exact track on what your chid is eating.
My daughter is in the baby room at Gumboots. I am very happy with the nursery and so is she. I was asked to provide clothing suitable for wet outdoor play when she started at 7mo. When she couldn't walk she didn't go outside if the weather was very bad. She isn't there every day so I didn't mind too much and made up for it on the other days. The menu is varied and everything is cooked on site. The little ones are given fruit when the older ones are having something more pudding like. I am sure the staff would be happy to chat about your concerns. They have always been very receptive when I have raised (small) issues.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
