In that case if I was the woman with the pram I would have stood and waited, he would have moved.

She didn't want to wait and he wasn't responsive enough to people approaching.

I doubt this poor woman with a pushchair was forced into oncoming traffic on the M25. I live on Lacon Road so its likely she just went down a slope onto an empty road prior to crossing it, as you said it was on the corner.

Ridiculous, pathetic whinge about something so petty only well off middle class types with no other worries in their lives would post about.

Well said 10/10

it's funny that it's an observer complaining. Who knows what the guys skipping and the woman with the baby had going through their mind.

He was probably counting and she was possibly not in the slightest bothered that she couldn't walk in a straight line.

Most people are nice, tolerant and a bit more chilled out.

Oh yeah - like "offence by proxy" !!

She didn't look "not bothered". Most people would prefer to be able to push their pushchair along the pavement rather than be forced out into the road.

I don't think it's a class issue, more a question of ordinary politeness.Obviously Steven Taylor sees politeness as middle class hypocrisy

"Why middle class people who expect to walk along pavements are basically Hitler: a memoir in three volumes"

    • Had a meal at Chern Thai  in Grove Vale today - a belated birthday meal for me. We have the lunch time specials as they are good value. Hubby used to go there every week but had not been for several months due to illness.  Pao was happy to see us again and as usual the food was excellent .   0208 693 9749
    • We now go to the Forest Hill pool - more expensive (we are silver swimmers at ED)  but much easier to book in person. Can book and pay for several swims in advance. Better and cleaner facilities.
    • So are you saying that smoking these awful vape things are not harmful to someone’s health Alan? I think Sue’s reply to my question explains about how vapes are addictive and also contain very high amounts of nicotine which is the main culprit for smoking related deaths?   Can someone tell me how much a vape thing  costs?
    • I'm down about 50% in numbers and more in species since three years ago.  Not sure if it is the weather, continual building works, the quality of my feed or the pigeons and parakeets putting off others.  Good conversation on Winterwatch on feeding tonight, including issues with spreading disease. Three years ago, likely to see long tailed tits, dunnocks, song thrushes, corvids, wood pigeons. black birds, black caps. Possibles - redwings. Unlikely to see any this weekend, only blue and great tits, robin, goldfinches, bloody feral pigeons.
