So I booked the swim classes for my nine month old. But did I read the instructions until today? Of course not.

I have a reusable swim nappy but the course instructions state that all babies are wearing the Neoprene Happy Nappy swim nappy (from Splashabout). Does anyone have one I could borrow? Just for today?

Fingers and toes crossed

I just went to check and the one we have is 0-6 months and I remember being an incredibly tight squeeze to squish her into it even when my daughter was that age so no good for a 9 month old boy I fear, I know they sell them in Jojo Maman Bebe if you can get there in time?
Ah thanks so much Hellosailor - I didn't think of Jojo as the swim nappy I bought there is not that brand. But I've checked the website and you're right! Hoorah! Fingers crossed they have the little piglet's size!

Darn! They don't stock them in store during the winter.

The swimming company has been really nice and said he can just double up on his other swim nappies but if any one knows anywhere else locally where they stock them, please let me know.

I have kindly been lent a couple by a dear poster. And others were also generous enough to offer.

It's lovely to be reminded how helpful people are and how this forum is such a fantastic resource. I feel very lucky.

Now I've just go to get through the swim lesson itself!

    • It's a forum. For discussion and differing opinions.  I do not "respond constantly to everything" - another exaggeration. I post  on forum threads where I have an opinion or information to contribute, as do many others. The forum name you have chosen is interesting. I use my own name. "Head girl" ??? !!! My school would have laughed at that description 🤣
    • You are trying to cast doubt on what I have provided evidence for and I have to ask why? The rubbish wouldn't be scattered if the blue bags were collected on schedule. They are very frequently left in various places around East Dulwich.
    • Your post is confusing. You say I’ve used ‘public shame and ostracism’ that just doesn’t make sense to me.  Maybe southwark should have a similar poster thanks for referring to it.
    • The shots are mainly of Melford Road and the rubric suggests that the street cleaner bags on 'Thursdays'. The general rubbish collection is on Tuesdays. If the bags haven't been collected on Friday, but have been left for general disruption over the weekend then the bin men will see simply a rubbish strewn road with this rubbish not in any bin. They don't have time to street clean themselves so will not collect it. I reiterate that the crews I see for general rubbish collection, the 'bin men' are careful and considerate in their collections from bins, some of which are indeed very full, to overflowing. They don't collect bagged rubbish left on the street away from bins, nor have they the time or are tasked to clean the streets of scattered rubbish.
