Why on earth are there traffic lights managing these roadworks?

Outside JAGS school on East Dulwich Grove.

1) adding chaos to an already chaotic area given recent traffic changes.

It added 20mins of travel time the other night.

2) the works are encroaching the carriageway by a MAXIMUM half a meter. All it needs is a couple of cones.

Who decides this stuff?? - and signs off the budget?

To give Cllr Newens credit she has been chasing Thames Water via her twitter feed as she highlights the fact that nothing has been happening and it has been causing disruption.

Thames Water replied to her original tweet that: "We'll be unable to remove the barriers until the permanent reinstatement has been applied and had a few days to settle because of safety concerns".

Conspiracy theories abound.

perhaps you should drive through the barriers, then you can moan about the sinkhole that collapsed and swallowed your car?

    • Thank you! She is both spayed and microchipped, and reported missing on Petlog and with the vets.   She normally never goes out the front, certainly for never more than 10-15 minutes, so this is definitely new territory for her. There is lots of dense foliage across the road so there are plenty of places she could be hiding if she is spooked, so we are hoping she will come back when she is calm. The weather isn't helping, she never goes out in the rain. Thank you again!
    • Hi, Have you been letting her out the front door onto the street or would this be a first & therefore unfamiliar with the area? Does she respond to a name & is she spayed & microchipped? Our team carry scanners on our daily routes & will of course be looking our for her. I hope you are reunited with her soon. If not already, notify your street & surrounding streets (find out if they have Whatsapp groups) Dox will print & deliver free missing posters https://www.doxdirect.com/help/free-missing-pet-posters/ Call her at dusk & dawn when street & foot traffic is at its lowest. • A slightly delayed review but another one to echo Niko's praises. I had an issue with a cistern that needed replacing and Niko was attentive and did a great job. He was very diligent, explained what he was doing and fixed issues from a previous plumber's work. I will definitely ask for his help again if I have any issues in the future.
    • In good condition.  The seal should be intact.  Thanks
