I used Lordship Lane carpets when we first moved here and they did a good job but a bit expensive. Next job we went elsewhere and ended up with a squared pattern lino not squaring up and looking awful, but it was cheaper. Last job- which was our stairs- we went back to Lordship Lane carpets and very pleased with job. It wasnt the cheapest quote but then again we only had to have it done once so it probably was.

I had a similar brush-off experience when looking to carpet our stairs and daughter's bedroom.

So much for spending money locally. We went to John Lewis in the end.

And does Bennison generally do old boilers ? I mean, I know "whatshername" had him round, but maybe that's a one off service he gave her.

She certainly seems happy.
