I shopped for vulnerable neighbours during the first lockdown and now realise why they've suddenly asked for help again to get some shopping in. They can't get on-line deliveries booked but I have the Sainsbury's app and they send me lots of messages about the chop chop delivery. This costs ?4-?4.99 for a few items.
I tend to make good use of these services, even though i am not vulnerable, shielding, old and decrepit etc. I use them to order large volumes of beers when on special offer, because frankly i cant be arsed to carry them from the shop across the car park into my car and then unload them again at home. I'd far rather the shop done the hard work and effort, seeing as the customer is king.

I often drink on the streets too, but will just grab a couple from the fridge and head out to meet people to socialise and get drunk around the East Dulwich area.

Its great that the Palmerston is closed again, as we can just sit on the benches outside it boozing, and not pay their hideous pint prices. Shame about the weather meaning that sitting outside for more than say half an hour is rarely feasible.

    • I wanted to just add that my experience has shown me that fitness classes aimed at an older demographic are often nowhere near as good or as much fun as those aiming at all and sundry.. most classes I've been to NOT aiming at 'Middle aged' people have had such a mixed bag and everyone does what they can at their own pace and this is encouraged. Do give it a go.
    • Greens have some mad polices and I am still trying to work out if it is true that the leader of the party thought he could hypnotize women to have larger breasts 🤷‍♂️ country is in a real state at the min and all party’s have a part to play in that. what the future holds who knows but it is worrying.
    • A stellar win for the Greens in Gorton and Denton, no doubt. But by-elections are funny beasts. Labour's strength traditionally has been in its ground game. Legions of canvassers over many years in many seats usually means that they are best placed to 'get out the vote' on election day. I can't quite believe that the Greens have enough data, or people, to wrest control of the council from Labour.
