JohnL
You might be able to order 20 or less with their Chop-Chop app. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274488-sainsburys-home-deliveryclick-and-collect/#findComment-1481923 Share on other sites
beansprout
Doubt anyone will be lucky enough to get a delivery slot now - think people in the know just keep on renewing. I tried early am today with no joy. Has anyone tried Chop Chop? nxjen
EBF - have you registered with Sainsbury?s as being vulnerable? I did that back in March and if you are registered then you will have access to slots not generally available. PeckhamNicola
Sainsbury's briefly went to only allowing slots to be booked a week ahead, but last time I looked they'd opened up the following week too. I've not had any problems finding a weekly slot in the current lockdown/tier4. JohnL
I checked today and yesterday (just to see) and no slots available this week but some just opened up for 20th January (next Wednesday - guess they'll go quickly)I'm not priority. EBF
Spoke with Sainsbury?s yesterday - I have had to sign up again on Government website as my details had somehow been erased, Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274488-sainsburys-home-deliveryclick-and-collect/#findComment-1482126 Share on other sites
JohnL
Worth noting if you grab a slot as soon as it comes out - and buy a few things - you can edit it later and add more stuff.I guess people game play the system. IlonaM
Also, there are now the standard one-hour slots and new saver slots (4 hour slot which is clarified to a one hour slot on morning of delivery) available. JohnL
Not 100% sure (might be one or two left) but think they're mostly gone now - so looks like slots were available at 9:00 and gone by 10:30 for 7 days later today Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274488-sainsburys-home-deliveryclick-and-collect/#findComment-1482149 Share on other sites

Clutterqueen
I shopped for vulnerable neighbours during the first lockdown and now realise why they've suddenly asked for help again to get some shopping in. They can't get on-line deliveries booked but I have the Sainsbury's app and they send me lots of messages about the chop chop delivery. This costs ?4-?4.99 for a few items. Steven Taylor
I tend to make good use of these services, even though i am not vulnerable, shielding, old and decrepit etc. I use them to order large volumes of beers when on special offer, because frankly i cant be arsed to carry them from the shop across the car park into my car and then unload them again at home. I'd far rather the shop done the hard work and effort, seeing as the customer is king. malumbu
I find it easier to buy beer from shops, as I can drink some on my walk home Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/274488-sainsburys-home-deliveryclick-and-collect/#findComment-1482384 Share on other sites
Steven Taylor
I often drink on the streets too, but will just grab a couple from the fridge and head out to meet people to socialise and get drunk around the East Dulwich area. Its great that the Palmerston is closed again, as we can just sit on the benches outside it boozing, and not pay their hideous pint prices. Shame about the weather meaning that sitting outside for more than say half an hour is rarely feasible. ianr
Was this thread's removal to the lounge due to the "Steven Taylor" incursion, or did it happen before?
