Interior design course by local interior designer to help you create a gorgeous home

Recommended Posts

Hello lovely people! Are we still allowed to say Happy New Year!?!

I?m very excited to be launching an online interior design course to help people define and create their own home vibe?all with the support of me as their ?Right Hand Interior Designer?.

I have been an interior designer for many years and have previously worked on luxury hotels and international properties. I now run my own business designing homes local to us in ED which I love.

This forum has been very kind to me and I am very lucky that I've never been more busy. Our homes of course have become even more important through the last year!

As much as I adore designing beautiful homes, I?ve realised over this last crazy year that I also want to share my experience and tips with as many people as possible to help them improve their homes?and the way they feel and live.

We want to be surrounded by joy in our homes. By creating beautiful spaces, and purging ourselves of what doesn?t work for us anymore, we are rewarded with a new energy of happiness and wellbeing....and don't we all need a bit of that!

To support you with this, I have created a new online course ?Create your Home Vibe? which I?m super excited about!

The idea being that while you get to enjoy the course (with lots of fab content and support!) at a reduced initial rate, and I get to discover what you want to learn more about.

We will concentrate on designing one room of your choice, other than a bathroom and kitchen. Further details are given in the video link I will add below, but a quick overview below of the weekly workshops-

Week One - Let?s get planning

Week Two - Discover your style and create your own mood boards

Week Three - Sourcing your gorgeous pieces (which will focus on upholstery, casegoods and lighting)

Week Four - Colour Scheme (you will also learn more about how to design curtains, blinds and cushions)

Week Five - Paint colours and Flooring!

Week Six - The Final Touches (where we will focus on artwork, mirrors, accessories and styling)

I would love you to join me on my New Year New Adventure. I?m looking to start this initial run late February/March.

Please comment or PM me if you?re interested or have any queries. There is a link below to a video on my Instagram page about the course. You can of course comment or DM me over there too.

Support most welcome my local lovelies.

Hi Lynlea,

This sounds amazing, I'm currently looking at revamping my living room, so this course sounds great.Your reviews on here are excellent too!Look forward to hearing more details, I'll PM you. Thank, Claire

Hi Lynlea,

You helped my friend Kate design her living room (in the village) & it?s truly beautiful! On that premise l?d love to find out more about your course as lm keen to inject some life into my tired old living room. I also have an 18 year old daughter who is very interested in interior design & contemplating a career in it after her A Levels. Might this be suitable for her too? I?ll pm you. It?d be great to speak? Many thanks,

Liv

Hi Liv,

Aww that's lovely to hear. Kate is so lovely and I'm glad you like her new Living Room!

It was actually working on projects like hers (that we did mainly remotely over Lockdown) that really made me realise how much can be achieved remotely and via Zoom...and got me thinking about putting together this course to help more people improve their homes - especially with all this madness going in and with us all at home!

Coincidentally I was speaking to a friend last night who has a daughter doing A levels, who is also interested in Interior Design, who asked about the course for her. I think it would be great for her, and for your daughter. It would teach them lots of skills and give them a real feel for whether this is the right direction for them - possibly designing their bedrooms as they go? All for helping the new generation of fab interior designers along!

Did you watch the link for my video about the course on my Instagram? Here again just in case you missed it. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKANCeNnrVq/

It might help with any queries...but yes absolutely up for a chat if you'd like. Feel free to PM me.

All the best and look forward to hearing from you.

Lynlea.

You did an amazing job helping me design and furnish all of my downstairs after a side return extension. I learnt so much from you so the idea of this course you are starting sounds fantastic. I'm going to be redoing my bedroom and bathroom so will look at doing your course so I can build on what you have already taught me.

Amy

Hello ED lovelies,

I am super excited to have now launched my online interior design course ?Create your Home Vibe? for those of you that are fed up with seeing glorious images of other people?s beautiful homes, and are yearning for some of the same!

If you want to make the most of your home, I will guide you step by step to create a beautiful space that works for you. I share my tips and experience from many years of working in interior design on projects from luxury international hotels ? to local East Dulwich homes.

You will develop skills and confidence in your own interior design abilities, whilst having the comfort of me as your Right Hand Interior Designer.

I know you?re all busy, but this course will save you so much time and actually get you moving forward. Hoorah!

?Create Your Home Vibe? is a 6 week course. I am currently offering it at ?149 and you will now have ongoing access to step by step video lessons that you can go through as and when suits you. You will also have access to me for feedback and support (further details given in the link below)

After six weeks of my lessons there?ll be no more procrastinating and feeling unsure on designing your own home. No more spending hours on the internet searching for the perfect table/sofa/lamp and not knowing what feels right anyway. No more slapping up paint samples on your walls weekend after weekend ? and being no closer to reaching a decision.

Pop over to my website for lesson details and further information, and to put your name on the waiting list for the course.

Feel free to ping me with any queries.

    • Hi SpringTime, I completely understand the concern for protecting birds, but using bells on cats is a bit more complicated. While they may reduce hunting success, they're not always effective & can cause stress for some cats, who are highly sensitive to sound. A better solution is to ensure cats are kept indoors during peak bird activity & providing plenty of enrichment at home to satisfy their hunting instincts. There's a terrible misconception that cats do not require as much mental & physical enrichment as dogs do. But they do, if not more so.

    • Hi Nigello, Many spayed/neutered & microchipped cats actually don't wear collars, as they often go missing & can pose risks.  Microchipping is far more reliable for reuniting lost cats with their guardians. Some of our clients even keep sacks of collars on standby because their cats frequently return without them - a comical but telling example of how impractical collars can be. A major contributor to unspayed/unneutered cats & kittens is purchasing from breeders, where these measures are often overlooked. Adopting from shelters, on the other hand, ensures all precautionary steps - like spaying/neutering, microchipping, as well as vaccinations - are already in place.
