Alan Medic
I've tried various ways I got from the internet but nothing has worked yet. Anyone had success in doing this and if so how did you do it? Thanks in advance. DulwichFox
Hi Alan.. If you haven't already done so. Five ways to eject a stuck CD or DVD from the optical drive Ejecting the stuck disc can usually be done in one of the following ways: 1. Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the left mouse button until the disc ejects.2. Press the Eject button on your keyboard.3. Click on the Eject button in the menubar.4. Press COMMAND-E.5. If none of the above work try this: Open the Terminal application in your Utilities folder. At the prompt enter or paste the following: /usr/bin/drutil ejectIf this fails then try this:Boot the computer into Single-user Mode. At the prompt enter the same command as used above. To restart the computer enter "reboot" at the prompt without quotes.========================================================================================================This process worked for someone in Apple Support Communities:Reboot the computer holding the option key down, wait for the boot drive options to appear, then press the eject key on the keyboard. When it's out, then select your boot drive and click the arrow key to boot up.Fox.. Jeremy
I recently got a disk stuck in my 15yr old minidisk deck.Couldn't get it out with a screwdriver. Opened it up and tried to dismantle the whole transport assembly. Still no luck.I ended up prising it apart with a claw hammer. It felt pretty good.
