  1. Hi all just wondering if anybody can recommend company who can clean large communal building with disabled tenants, this would be for few hours five days a week. Need hard working trustworthy people with common sense.
  2. Yes there are a lot of people who pray on, bereaved or fearful people and it makes me angr, since I know personally many people who have fallen fail to these fakes. Personally when I do this stuff for people it does come cheap unless I have to travel long distances in which case I ask expenses since I don't have a car. Often don't charge anything or donation which varies from a ?5-?60 left upto the person Generally I have an idea if it's real or not from talking to the person on the phone and sometimes just email instructions of what to do. Often these simple rituals are about setting the mind at rest. Also some types of phenomena are caused by medical conditions, these can be visual cortex phenomena which require medical help or night paralysis which can be helped by vitamin supplementation. I am a very practical and logical person it's just sometime I work in areas when the logic is non western. People in White European culture believe. That their understanding of the world is right, however there are many diverse perceptions of reality amount many culture where interaction with non physical reality is everyday occurrence and in fact the norm.
  3. Rarely on here but by chance one of my specialist subjects is on the go. I have being working with these realms all my life, growing up with human and non human spirits of ED and Peckham etc. Some body mentioned earlier people die all the time so why isn't the place full of ghosts, truth is it is but must people don't experience them or interact with them it require a variety of conditions for them to manifest, in our reality from ours. There is really little reason to be afraid and not normally a problem. I have travelledt he country dealing with hauntings and usually any problems are dealt with easily. However the vast amount of visit result in the problem of the resident misunderstanding natural phenomena. Heating, electrical faults unexpected sound travelling. Animal invasion of the home etc etc, I always approach disturbances in a practical manner.unless I perceive a issue from the start which is rare. I have seen everything from blocked pipes disturbing people too four poster beds being lifted off the floor by an unhappy spirit , so what I am saying is that there are many things in the world we don't understand but also a lot we do, but fear and prejudice make us fearful of the unknown and the known.
  4. As post in another thread where i work one of the blind peoples flats was broken into couple of months back same area although this guy was know to police and wanted for other burglaries. seems the area is high crime spot
  5. used to live there when it was rough, but been quite a lot of money put into the estate and is now pretty quite and lots of people bought their own flats. My sons still know people there and they say its quite nice place to live now.
  6. once for cup of tea on raining day when had missed train about twenty years ago, too a kids party about same time and maybe another kids party with one of my other sons at which had one of there dreadful apple pies since thought that would be safe bet was disgusting plastic. remember being at six form when Peckham one had just opened some friends worked there said they used to play football with the frozen burgers before they served them out front. they are disgusting dirty places serving cheap chemically enhanced rubbish.
  7. They should make a pilgrimage by foot or on bloodied knees like the good old days
  8. Try boot manager software or use a recovery disk, however to be safe if need data remove hd and connect to suitable computer to transfer data then use repair or restore. If is only 3 yrs old there is a good chance there is a recovery partition installed these are access by pressing one of the F. Keys during startup alternately pressing F2 or F12 to access boot options there is usually a recovery partition option to repar or wipe. If dont care about data then just choose clean install and data will be wipe for all but the most expert hacker. The F key combinations sometime very among different companies so just look up your laptop. Anymore help just pm me if want i can just wipe drive for you have all the gear hardly takes anytime.
  9. Often are because all the cheap food is packed with saturated fats and high sugars these fill the person up but the sugars are burnt up quickly causing the body to demand more simple sugars, while retaining the cheap bulking agents like hydrogenated fat which the body cant metabolise easily. Hi Gi foods are usually cheaper and sweeter then low GI foods. The food industry wants you to keep shopping, additives in the cheaper foods like MSG make you more hungry. So a ? for packet of horse burgers sells quickly.
  10. What make of laptop is it and age ?
  11. No the family ok, but if it had just been a lone blind person one wonders if he would have stayed, he was wearing a hoodie but not bothering to have it up since assumed nobody would see him I guess. tall very skinny white guy expect was after drug money got away with ?6
  12. One of the flats in the residential housing building for the blind where I work was broken into on Sunday afternoon, the resident came back just as he had climbed in the window, fortunately the wife could see and scream he jumped out the window and got away before I was called. However we have him on cctv so police may if we are lucky, such a low life stealing from blind people
  13. Great place only real veggie option in the evening on lordship lane, lovely staff and great food
  14. Merry meet Shadow and yes in most pagan groups the feminine is equal ,but most often superior to the male so redresses the imbalance of society. Happy New Year all
  15. theres a small Pan next to silver chalice and Diana on the end
  16. No matter what you believe or don't believe in Seasons Greetings and Love to All on the EDF
  17. Thats great if you believe all is mumbo jumbo no problem with that freedom of speech and ideas are very important to me, just dont believe in discrimination.
  18. Would you describe Christianity, Judaism, Islam,Hinduism, Buddhism etc in the same way if so fine, if not you are discriminating against mine and many others belief system. Happy Christmas
  19. Trouble with forums is posting can be several post out of context, yes once was a pleasent land when our scribblings would be occupanied by bird song and the harp music and polite musings on the coming harvest. Yes that was the golden days of the forum ;)
  20. The advice by dulwichfox is very good the usual method is to restart while holding down the eject button suggested this just yesterday to forumite with success
  21. dont have kindle fire but is it android based believe it is installation on androids is bit flaky sometime. can you download to a memory card if you can just download to card then duplicate install from card transfer card to other device then install always worth keeping a copy of apt file so you can easily reinstall.
  22. Yes it did used to be all trees round here, so a belief system that connects with concepts of nature is just right for Dulwich. Some people do focus on its the dialog between the masculine and feminine aspect in the representation of Goddess and God which can be quite sexy and empowering(yes I have known a few Pagans in Sealed Knot. Broomsticks are used for a number of reasons symbolically (also when outdoors in Dulwich Woods etc its useful sometimes to sweep the floor). However I do know a number of leading teachers on Paganism whom are jungian psychologists or practice psycho~dynamic approaches. Also perhaps more importantly it can be good fun, silly, playful, deeply meaningful, dramatic, moving and loving form of spirituality that is based simply in being one with yourself and all living things without dogma, but plenty of Trees.
  23. My point about the forum wasn't directed at H but was a general point since he usually provide witty criticism, which I am completely for. However myself who was more a reader rather then a poster and many of my friends who were very active on EDF in the old days have left for the reasons mention. I am notorious piss taker among the new age & pagan scene (no bottles used). Happy Holydays All x
  24. Hi Huguenot certainly dont speak for all thats why said the majority. My opinions are just that mine, however they are based on over 35yrs of being involved in Paganism more then 20yrs teaching the subject both privately and academically. There is estimated 200,000 Pagans in the UK over 50,000 declared at the last census, sadly many still have to hide their beliefs for fear of discrimnation at work or violence. The Pagan community are known for their humour and free thought, personally I have work ritually with Christians Hindu's Buddhist's Gnostic's etc and Atheists. I am glad to see some sensible discussion on this subject but sad that people often result to unpleasantness, this is the reason I rarely use the EDF anymore. It's become a place of backbiting and name calling where once it was a place of intelligent discussion often with humour. Have Good break from the day to day whatever your beliefs or lack of them this week xxx
  25. I think I mentioned but perhaps wasn't picked up that most Pagans have a reverance for nature and any Gods/Goddeses are seen symbolically in these terms, Pagans generally dont believe in literal dieties but use them in the form of exploring Archetypes much in the style of Jungian theory The Pagan path is not one of blind faith seeking help from some disembodied power but exploring the self through symbolism and ritual, these are seen simply tools for personal development and group bonding by the vast majority of practicing Pagans. Spell etc are mostly seen to be historical versions of the modern concept of positve thinking or personal affirmation, yes there are superstious people involved in any religion but most Pagans are highly intelligent and don't believe in nonsense. I myself am not in the slightest superstitious and dont have lucky charms, read my horoscope or worry about walking under ladders (touch wood), have fun over the holidays x
