iPad App - advice please

Help requested for an iPad novice - now required to use one for meetings at work.

Is there an iPad app that allows for the use of a stylus to write on the screen and then convert script to typescript, if necessary?

Alternatively - how could I search for such an App?

I'm a relative iPad novice too. The Apple Store has a section for iPad apps - some free, some you pay for - but I don't find it easy to find things on there. Best to Google, I think. Here's some promising looking results:

Looks like there was only one app for handwriting to text conversion as of August last year according to this article: http://www.examiner.com/review/ipad-gets-handwriting-to-text-ocr-thanks-to-the-7notes-hd-app

Would it not be less hassle to just plug a keyboard in to the iPad and type your notes / minutes?

I use iA Writer, it makes the software keyboard bearable.

If only one could install swiftkey on an apple device!

I think penultimate would do what you need and the great thing is its link to evernote

There are very few apps for the iPad that will convert handwriting to text.

I've found a grand total of two in my research!
