I created a list for people at work which might be useful for you: https://www.notion.so/markfresh/0232e1bcfe8041c4bbd65e77398c2cfc?v=ea658129a51d4f7893795ddbbbd315d3

I've just finished Call My Agent which was tres bien.

Currently watching the new series of Marcella aka Anna Friel, troubled again.

I really enjoyed Ted Lasso on Apple TV (I got a free trial). It's about an American football coach who's put in charge of a premier league football team and has to win everyone around. It shouldn't work but it does - sort of a heartwarming family comedy, but with lots of swearing.

Rebecka Martinsson on 4 and I like Great Pottery Throw Down although perhaps not hugh brow enough for this thread :) Watched both series of All the Sins (also on 4)recently but not sure whether I enjoyed them. Watched first one and a half episodes of The Serpent but couldn't get into it.

Just seen the Laurel and Hardy film is on BBC, didn't see it on release so may give that ago.

I loved A Discovery of Witches. It was, maybe still is, on Sky 1 and also on the catch up Sky channel. It's like a more adult-oriented Buffy, I'd say, with undertones of social justice (but not unsubtle, thankfully) and good twists.

On BBC4 via iPlayer try The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin.

Also, Valhalla Murders on iPlayer was good.

Dalgleish on Channel 5 - kind of went under the radar of the media I think. Three two-parters that have finished now but you can probably catch up. Set in the early seventies and starring Bertie Carvell with great sideburns and an E-Type. Not what I was expecting of Channel 5 at all really.

I was late to BBC4's Paris Police 1900 series in their regular Sat night foreign series slot, so have been playing catch-up on iPlayer, imagine the offspring of Spiral and Peaky Blinders.

They're currently showing Stieg Larsson's Millennium series (Girl with the dragon tattoo etc), also worth watching...

    • Another recommendation for Oddbods. As proof of our satisfaction we've asked them to return for some more jobs, which is sign we were happy with their work
    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
    • Just not keen to have all these  things  in my body… having said  that, thinking about Covid again as need to come to London to two hospitals for poss overnight stays.
    • And another one, number 6, has just gone passed as well!  I presume that the LTNs are blocking them from a more useful route. Or the surrounding road works.
