Thanks Counterlass22. I have since had a constructive meeting with my ward councillors, who after hearing the whole story have agreed to advocate on my behalf to have the decision reviewed. Obviously I can't say too much here, but it is a very positive first step and is in no small part due the the great response to my petition, so thanks again to everyone who has supported it..

It was a Kit. I did a fair bit of research and found Dunster Homes to offer the highest spec for your money.

I'm sure they have seen a rise in demand since covid hit as the base version of this was about ?1000 cheaper when I bought it 2 years ago. Yes WE had all the plans and measurements to show it wa well within planning guidelines, which we checked before it was built anyway. good luck, hope it all works out for you in the end.

You mentioned local councillors and MP.

Any of these can act as a "Designated Person" where Social Housing involved - arguably this would apply to you as Southwark freeholder - https://www.housing-ombudsman.org.uk/designated-persons/

My experience as a former Council was the threat of doing this was enough to get an officer to stand down from silliness (my view).

Specifically ask you Councillors and MP who is willing to be a "designated Person" for you. It will be telling who steps forward to help practically.
