Hi

Has anyone on the 50-60 age bracket, without underlying medical conditions been contacted as yet?

Several friends who are with Herne Hill Practice have already had theirs but we have heard nothing, I don't want to call as they are so busy, but equally they are not the best in terms of service, so don't want to be missed either.

Thank you

Perhaps people with ongoing conditions and/or had treatment at a hospital are contacted by that specialist department? It's highlighted again the lack of a central database for all NHS patients. Imagine if there were a way of punching in your NHS No. and finding all your treatments, diagnoses, etc. (even dental). Hell of a task but I think it would save time and money in the long run.

Those who are booking appointments via the NHS website should be offered Rosendale Road as their first option.

I was speaking to a friend over 60 who had his at Rosendale Road, but his older sister had hers at TJC via the GP.

If they know their NHS number, they can add it to the NHS booking website and book straight away if they haven't received their letter.

You don't need to know your NHS number to book on the website. Anyone aged 56 upwards is invited to book now, you can book both appointments at the same time. It's a doddle and very quick.

I booked mine several days ago and received a letter today inviting me to book. Bit of a waste of resources but as nothing compared to the terrible amount of waste associated with the pandemic so far.

These people got letters from DMC today !

DMC contacted me in January via text to ask whether I wanted the vaccine, saying that they?d be in touch once an appt was available. subsequently I got an appt in Kings. I don?t know whether DMC passed my details on to Kings, but the Kings message did not seem connected to the DMC invite.

If DMC/kings invites are not connected, I haven?t heard from DMC since.

306 Medical Centre contacted my mother AFTER she got the letter from the NHS. So she ended up booking via the website.

    • Greg did an amazing job! He built a cabinet in my living room and added shelving. A lovely guy and perfectionist who goes the extra mile. He really understands what you want and comes up with various options to meet your price range. Would highly recommend!
    • I love the fact that virtually everyone held their hands out when furlough payments were made yet can't equate massive debt with massive cash payments to keep the economy ticking over.
    • The problem with delivery people nowadays is that they are on such a restrictive schedule that they literally have to just try to deliver and run, otherwise they are penalised. I understand the frustration though.   And good luck making any kind of complaint to Evri. I once sold a laptop on ebay, took it to the Evri pick-up, where it was processed and it then went 'missing' between their pick-up place and the hub. Went through a long, long process where they offered me a desultory amount in compensation and I had to take them to small claims court before they came up with a fair offer the day before we were due to be in court. Long story short, Evri are shite.   Go to look at this forum for the number of people who have issues: https://nationalconsumerservice.co.uk/forum/183-postal-and-delivery-services/
    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
