what kind of standard are you looking for brendan? I can just about (on a good day), get the ball from one set of stumps to the other. Keef's pretty niffty.

Keef - you are looking at this the wrong way. Don't go to bed, you'll be fine. I'll also supply you with a vodka (and half the left over red bull MP is giving).

I can get the ball down the other end it is just normally followed by the words no ball, wide or the sight of the ball disappearing to the boundary.

Last time I tried to bowl was in the nets about 2 years back and it was piss poor. My mate actually told me to bowl underarm for a while so he could get some decent batting practice in.

I'm going to regret this as my birthday party the day before will preclude any smidgen of ability I still possess, but, aye, go on then. I can bowl a bit. How many overs can I/am I allowed to/have to bowl? Batting is a touch more erratic.

Does anyone have any cricket gear or can we turn up in trackies and a t shirt. I'm guessing most people here don't have whites?!

What about bats, gloves, pads, balls etc etc.

    • Hi there,  I wanted to give a big shout out to Kushy Move. An idependent letting agent on Bellendon Road. My family have used Kushy's services for more than 20years. He knows the market in this area very well. He has always found us incredible tenants promptly, and has got a fair price. He looks after our tenants and our properties well. He has always given very good advice when assessing our properites.  With so many letting and sales agents in the area (and I have dealt with a lot!), I have always found Kushy to be straight forward and no nonsense.  Highly recommended!
    • From tomorrow, 21st May at midday, Lord Biggar CBE, Regius Professor Emeritus of Moral & Pastoral Theology at Oxford University, talks with Chris Haydon and a small invited audience on PECKHAM PODCAST. This is the Professor who set out to draw up a balanced view of Empire and history but walked into a storm. "OMG, this is serious shit", said one Cambridge academic on hearing of Biggar's plan. Meet the man himself, unless of course you think this Regius Professor Emeritus should be cancelled still.
