MrBen
Now we are a good 15 years in, I had this thought on the bus this morning. Will there become such a thing as vintage /antique websites? Will there be web archaeologists in years to come whose job is to retrieve quirky historical data reflective of its time?Just coming across random early sites like this got me all nostalgic:http://quantumplate.com/(I have no idea what this business is or was, and it's reason for existence has become lost in cyberspace) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/28410-antique-websites/ Share on other sites
StraferJack
the Warner Bros movie Space Jam from the 90s has famously (?) kept it's website as wasIt's like travelling back in timehttp://www2.warnerbros.com/spacejam/movie/jam.htm Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/28410-antique-websites/#findComment-610717 Share on other sites
Chillaxed
I quite like the simplicity of those sites compared with the all-action sites these days. It annoys me when I want to read a simple news story, for example, and have to negotiate the various pop-ups, videos, ads, etc that accompany the story.Time to check out retirement home options I think.
