alicecarr
One side effect of Covid has been the huge huge volume of single use plastic and coffee cups we - incl me - are all generating. I have found, though, in recent weeks that several local coffee shops are now willing to take clean reusable cups again. Spinach will, and Oru Space (latter prefer to make the coffee and then tip it into your cup). Anyone found reusable cups are being accepted elsewhere? Sally Eva
Blackbird (near East Dulwich Station and Queens Road station) have been refilling keep cups throughout. Cafe G on Peckham Rye West refill them now.Others (like Goodcup in Nunhead) are using compostable cups ie no inner plastic lining. Nigello
I don?t drink takeaway beverages so can?t really understand either the compulsion to buy or the litter-loutishness that go with a ?2+ coffee but it helps the economy, at least. I know that MacD?s sends our staff to litter pick near branches so would that be a good idea for the indies to do, if the workers were doing this as part of their hours, of course?
