One side effect of Covid has been the huge huge volume of single use plastic and coffee cups we - incl me - are all generating. I have found, though, in recent weeks that several local coffee shops are now willing to take clean reusable cups again. Spinach will, and Oru Space (latter prefer to make the coffee and then tip it into your cup). Anyone found reusable cups are being accepted elsewhere?

I don?t drink takeaway beverages so can?t really understand either the compulsion to buy or the litter-loutishness that go with a ?2+ coffee but it helps the economy, at least. I know that MacD?s sends our staff to litter pick near branches so would that be a good idea for the indies to do, if the workers were doing this as part of their hours, of course?

    • Without doubt.. just seem to expect others or council to deal with it…no, don’t think it is that …just the fact that people these days are working hard, tired, stressed.. what were houses are now converted into flats…there is community spirit, well hope so.. neighbours hardly see one another, let alone know each other as work schedule is no longer 7/9 …only older more established people who have lived in area, and not making a quick buck, understand… people don’t even have the time to talk to neighbours unless annoyed or complaining.. when was the last time one smiled and said hello..or even started a conversation in a queue?
    • Hi I’m looking for some classic plastic garden chairs (1 or more) to borrow or take off someones hands for a project I’m working on. Need by Wednesday!  Ideally in white, or light blue . Can be weathered and old, or newer looking.    If you think you have something thatfits the  bill please PM me!    Photo of ideal chair attached.
    • Blimey, this has turned from celebrating a new and exciting Bagel business in East Dulwich to a Jeremy Corbyn experience very quickly.  Let's get back on point and welcome our soon to arrive business, I for one am looking forward to it.
