Kitchen Fitters?

Recommended Posts

Hello. I am purchasing a flat in East Dulwich and we are looking to get the kitchen redone. I'm currently getting quotes from different companies (Howdens, Wickes, Wren, etc) but would also like to know if anyone recommends a kitchen fitter? Ideally we'd like the job to be done after we complete but before we move in, so hopefully end of June / early July!

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

John Marx, of Top Marx Kitchens. Did my kitchen in Landcroft Rd and he was brilliant. Patient, thorough professional and nice guy. Didn't mind that I didn't have a huge budget. His office manager (Gabi) was hugely helpful advising on which units and bits to order as I was a complete newbie, and I didn't use a design/supply company, just ordered all the components myself for John to fit.

He has FB page you can message him on, or [email protected]

Another 5 stars review for Top Marx Kitchens. Not only John and Gabi are excellent professionals but excellent human beings, what makes a pleasure to work with them. We were struggling finding a kitchen supplier as well that ticked all the boxes until we met John and got his advice on the matter. Then, before installation, John was eager to help with any questions we might have. And once installation started, everything ran smoothly, all was so easy because he knows what he does and he really cares about his work and the final result. John listens and he has got such a good eye on detail.

We couldn?t recommend them enough! We are very grateful we chose them, hence our review in case it helps anyone.

(Bear in mind that, as you can expect, they are always quite busy so contact them in advance.)

I wanted to add another recommendation for John and Gabi at Top Marx kitchens, who we found through the forum. They could not have been more helpful or more patient with us, including when I accidentally ordered the wrong appliances which we only discovered when John came to fit them.

John was so helpful in advising us on which kitchen companies to look into based on our budgets and timings when he initially came out to meet us and look at the kitchen space we had. He came and fitted the kitchen in the past few weeks - including making two unscheduled visits to Howdens when we realised that my husband and I had made a mistake in what kind of corner unit we needed - and was so great at working with us, tidily and efficiently, which has been a godsend as we have a tiny baby and we?re having lots of work done elsewhere in our flat so everything was a complete state. He and Gabi made a very stressful time a lot easier!

    • That's not a bad idea, though I also want to keep the site as simple and user friendly as possibly. It's ultimately about getting a balance between being informative and being a good read. Stars are useful but I'd like people to read the reviews too.

    • Sue. You really don’t have to keep saying about the electoral system    a) we all know about it b) it doesn’t matter    FPTP is the system we have always had and hopefully we will get rid of it someday but it is what it is    when anyone suggests changing the system Corbyn is right there at the front of the queue to prevent it   so its pointless him or any of supporters complaining about it    the evidence you want is the result of the elections. You can’t have clearer evidence.
    • Has anyone from the school commented? Have they said why? Is it a fresh start? Is it that Grove in the name may have connotations of wealth and they want to attract more applicants from a wider area? Is that it currently is linked to the DKH Estate?
