Hi all,

I would like to recommend my husband, Peter, who?s business name is PW TILING as a local Tiling specialist with 15 years of experience in the industry.

My husband has years of past experience working with marble, porcelain, ceramics and various other materials. Over the past few years, Peter, has also gained hundreds of hours of experience working with Victorian tiles, patios and various mosaics. Peter is happy to undertake a job of any size, no job is too small.

Peter has just finished tiling our bathroom floor, and repairing tiles damaged on the walls.

Despite the floor tiles being particularly tricky (and not what I explained when booking him!) and him having to deal wiht a bad job on the floor from old builders, he managed to sort it all out. The room is beautiful now. He took really great care of our house, was on time, good to have around, well priced. Highly recommend.

Pete has replaced some broken tiles on our bathroom floor, re-tiled the niche in our shower and fixed the long term problem with it holding water, and retiled the floor in the loft shower room.

Everything looks perfect and he came up with some great solutions to some problems we were not expecting (like the replacement tiles I bought being a very slightly different size to the originals).

Prompt start, every day.

Each evening left his work area tidy and clean. Left the finished site spotless.

I would definitely use him again, and I can recommend him without hesitation.

Peter and Casper have just done a fantastic job for us. We had a shower as part of the loft extension some years ago that looked good at the time but in fact had been poorly tiled and installed and the leaks didn't come to light for some time. Peter sorted it all out and it's as good as new. He also managed to tile a very tricky bathroom wall, finding a solution to a wonky wall.

He was prompt, friendly, extremely tidy, respectful, reasonablably priced but above all was a perfectionist - really keen to get it just right - not just slapping on some tiles. I have never done a review before, for anyone, but I wanted to put something up as this is where I got the recommendation in the first place.

I have no hesitation in recommending him for either repairing and making good again or new projects. We are hoping to get him back to do our front path.

After thinking about it for a while; I ?bit the bullet? and now have the most beautifully tiled flooring in my maisonette.

From start to finish, dealing with Peter was just a dream and nothing was too much trouble.

I never normally give top marks, or recommendations for ANYTHING (because there is normally room for improvement) ? but in this case, I give Peter a 10 out of 10 and I would definitely recommend!

They laid tiles in my kitchen, dining room, hallway (plus understairs) and also my bathroom and separate WC. Peter and his son Kasper (who worked with him), give off great vibes as soon as you meet them. They were on time, good communicators and they?re also really clean and tidy too (which is very important to me).

The job was done just how I wanted it done.

They are lovely, talented guys!

Thanks again,

Joanne.

    • I usually use Mason and Green recently to get to Heathrow. They arrived early and were extremely reliable. The cars are immaculate and had friendly drivers. They also provide child seats for all ages. Used them at 6am.
    • I think you can write to your local council to get the street cleaned more regularly. Also the may put more posters up to remind ppl to do clean up
    • Absolutely right.  The other issue is that rescue centres like Celia Hammond make it nearly impossible to adopt a kitten or cat that desperately needs a home. I know many many people who have tried to adopt and have been refused, and only one couple who have been deemed to have a good enough home. The reasons people have been refused have been that they aren't in a position to take two kittens - unless it's changed recently you weren't considered unless you took 2 as cats  wouldn't be homed without a companion. But lots of people can't afford to feed and insure 2 pets. Another reason I've heard several times is that the potential adoptee lives on a road, not an A road or the south circular but just a road. But what is the other option they're looking for? A country estate? Another reason a couple of friends have been refused is that they have jobs and Celia Hammond said that they were looking for people who were at home all day . So again, what are they looking for? People who can afford not to work?  We are told 'adopt don't shop' but out of the many many families or individuals I know who have tried to give a loving home to a kitten / cat literally only a couple have been accepted, so have ended up buying a kitten. People who have had cats all their lives and adore cats. Of course it's important that adoptees are vetted but it's problematic that cat charities are deciding that a cat / kitten without a home would rather live in a cage at a rescue centre than with a loving person who has a job or lives on a road or cannot afford to pay for the upkeep of more than one pet. My friend has recently tried for months to adopt kittens or cats through various centres and although she was prepared to take two, was rejected by all rescue centres  as she lives on a (quiet) residential road in ED and doesn't work from home every day. She works from home 3 days a week. It's insane.
