this one sums it up (taken from http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,102617,page=1)

Hello East Dulwich,

East Dulwich needs a good Italian restaurant so that's what we intend to build on the site known as 'The Green'. We've been talking to Robert for 6 months about selling us the site. Me and my two business partners all hail from South London and have been in the restaurant business for 30 years and we think this is a lovely site in a great area. We want to build a vibrant busy restaurant, bar and function space but one very much a local for locals so we welcome your feedback. We'll be getting involved in some local activity too like the Goose Green Fair and the Dulwich Festival. For the foodies out there you'll be relived to know our chefs are Italian and our head chef lives just around the corner. He's a bit difficult and insists on everything being really Italian (no cabonara!) so we make everything fresh so yes, we bake own breads, make our own sauces and pastas and bring our flour, cheese and oils from Italy. We'll have a new bar too, but we'?ll be focused on cocktails and nice wines, not beer. We'll also have a private dining room for dinners and meetings. We change our menu and wine list 4 times a year. One more thing we spend our time working in the restaurant so if you decide to come along please say hi and we'll get you a Bellini! Proofs in the pudding really (in our in case our ragu sauce). Ciao. Mark, Mark and Douglas

Looks like the local italian contigent( me, my Bro my mum and dad, my cousin mimmo, the current chef from mon petit chou) will

have to go along and make sure it is the real italian deal.

If mark and the boys give us a table at the front, give us a lot of food with sauces, napkins to use as bibs, bread we can break and eat and throw at each other, we can can make it look like the real deal and dont forget the candle waxed bottles and the red n white tablecloth. By the way Mimmo looks like an extra from once upon a time in america>:D<

Fab - just what is needed.

I would come and eat if you don't make it to 'poncey' (horrid word but you know what I mean - decent prices) whilst still serving a lovely ice-cold bellini. And if you welcome children (high chairs, bottle warmer and a decent baby change room) but make it clear when they are welcome and when not - I will want to be able to pop in for a quick coffee / lunch with mummy friends during the day but will want to get drunk without little munchkins running around the rest of the time).

When will it be opened?

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. Please comment below or email me [email protected] Thank you for the vital work you do. Best wishes, Emma
    • Nice topic and nice song!  1) Definitely top of Canonbie, looking North. 2) What used to be Francesca Cabrini school at the top of FHR. 3) Honor Oak playground, next to Camberwell New cemetery.
