Favourite cake / cupcake flavour

I am trying to develop new recipes for my blog and was wondering if I can get some feedback about your favourite cake or cupcake flavours - and what appeals to the children.

I know in my house I like certain things that the kids will not even touch. Not unless they are covered in chocolate and/or sprinkles!

I love banana bread / cake / muffins.

I do love a choc cupcake...

Fruit cake for me. Or a good Black-Forest if I'm being really indulgent.

Kids seem to love the frosting (any kind) more than the cake - although can usually be counted on to eat chocolate cake.

These veg patch fairy cakes are always a huge hit in our house - you'd never know that they were parsnip or courgette!

It has to be anything chocolate for me and the kids :-)

I do like carrot cake too but has to have lots of cream cheese icing on it........and maybe some crushed walnuts too!!

If I get the chance I may do some experimenting tomorrow... Thinking something with praline or meringue. I thankfully have an office to take the surplus cakes to at the moment
