It depends what you are looking for and whether you can travel, but we used Car Wow for our last car purchase - you can set the parameters of what you want and dealers can make you an offer on any car they have that matches your criteria.

I was pretty sceptical but it worked out well for us - we ended up driving quite a way but got a good deal including part-ex.
