You are obviously clinically depressed Azul. Stop drinking gin and switch to champagne.

Anyone who writes posts that make me laugh (I have very stringent standards) is not useless.

Now, pick yourself up and mentally devise 40 ways to assassinate your boss: 5 points for standard, 10 points for excruicating pain and humiliation. When you have reached 120, stop and remind yourself how creative you are.

If you have a mastery of Portuguese, you can work non-stop as a Portuguese-English translator in London. Unless you are already working as a Portuguese-English translator, and poss. your standards are too high, hence the 80 hour weeks? Just make it up and bung it out like 50% of the industry does (I never said that). Instant 40 hr week.

Yep, I work in PR - and am utterly useless. However an 80 hour week is not beyond the realms of possibility for me, so possibly look elsewhere. Actually marketing's not a bad idea. Ooh, or teaching

boss is a great guy, the problem is the CORPORATION

now how do I get excruicating pain and humiliation from a CORPORATION?

It is the probably the biggest question in life... how do I collect one hundred and twenty points from the CORPORATION ?

who should be the first to go ?

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.
    • Hi there, We are currently having issues with our current nursery in ED, and are looking for an excellent childminder or nanny locally. We live on Melbourne Grove so can walk within a 5-10 min radius. Ideally to start in January 2026 please. We have a 14 month old girl. Any recommendation for other childcare providers would be appreciated too! Thanks a lot, Jojo

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
