Fire in forest hill

Big fire in forest hill . I see the fire at 5 clock now their is 6 fire engines 2 hours later.

Whereabouts in Forest Hill was this?

Just along by canvas & cream . Just Behing their think it was a house . I see the fire at 5 clock when I drive back 2 hours later their was 6 fire engines

The Fire Brigade website says:

Eight fire engines and 58 firefighters and officers have been attending a fire in a building on Havelock Walk in Forest Hill.

The building contains workshops with flats above and the fire was in one of the flats. Around a quarter of the first floor was damaged by the fire.

Firefighters were called at 1708 and the fire was under control by 1921. Crews from Forest Hill, West Norwood, Downham, Lewisham, Peckham and Norbury were at the scene. The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.

I see it on fire befor the fire crew was their it was horrible just hope no one was in side

Woman inside was rescued by a chap who works for the artist David Mach, kicked in the front door and got her out.

Very fortunate no one was injured.....

The top live/work space is completely gutted and there has been substantial water damage to the studios rented below.

Were allowed back into Havelock Walk about 9.30ish last night.

Bloody hell - he was very brave and she was very lucky.

Thank god no was was hurt. I also noticed the fire, very dramatic flames and smoke.
