Where can I buy nuts in shell?

Hello

Can anyone tell me where in the local area I can buy nuts in their shells - all kinds of nuts: walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, almonds etc..

I need quite a lot for some school workshops (and yes before you ask I have checked with the school about their nut policy!)

Pretty traditional on Northcross Road sells them, but they tend to be seasonal.

You probably won't get brazil nuts in their shells - something to do with pesticides used in their growing. At least that used to be the case.

Sainsburys have peanuts and pistachios in the shell.

The big mixed bags of walnuts/almonds/hazlenuts usually disappear after xmas though.

Right now Lidl are selling pistachios loose in a huge bag you can dip in. the price is as cheap as you will ever find...lower than ?3 a Kg.
