Hi,

anyone up for some trading of home grown produce. We have various excess seedlings which we would be happy to trade for other seedlings, plants (we have started from scratch garden 1 year old) etc. In a couple of months will have some chickens so there will be some eggs as well. Any advice on keeping chickens much appreciated.

excess seedlings that we have are:

poppy,

beetroot

climbing french beans

wild rocket

brocoli

carrot

Salad greens, herbs and tomatoes. I live mostly on fruit and veg so want whatever I eat to be as fresh as possible. I uproot a lettuce, wash it and oil it and I call it supper. I don't have a very big appetite (puting it mildly) so whatever I do eat needs to be good food. I user the term "good food" to mean "doesn't contain a chemical sh*t storm" rather than "deserves a Michelin award".

    • Shame. I wondered why they were asking for donations to help with running costs in last weeks issue. Been buying it for many years but only recently was thinking of giving it a miss as over the past couple of years it had become too politicised. Their South London Opinion page was particularly biased.
