woodrot
Not taking the piss or anything, but you do realise that Ipetition slacktivism achieves, like nothing, ever* ?There were people on the streeets ( then Guardian estimated 1,000,000, The super soaraway Sun reckoned it was 34 ) protesting against the eeeeerak war and nowt happened.* glass not half full, but empty and ground into my face type of person Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29794-dog-petition-stop-baiting-over-breeding-license-for-owners-breeders/#findComment-622091 Share on other sites
Ilovemywhippet
Woodroot,Petitions do and can achieve things. Its the support that counts and one Day something will be done. When Dogs are roaming the streets like strays again and the government have to "clean them up", when more and more children continue to be mauled by aggressive Dogs, something will and has to be done. the-e-dealer
Extract From Petition. You must be aged 25 or over to own any Bull-breed of Dog. Every Dog purchased must be registered on a national pet register for a fee, payable to the government who will enforce this license. - Microchip <--------------------------------- ****************************************- Proof of ID and age- Proof of vaccinations- Proof of suitable insurance for your DogIt is! Sorry but please explain why this is different from or at least isnt part of the proposal. When was the last time you saw an stray ? There are fewer dog attacks nowadays than you would think, though they are publicised more - and more often than not the attack is carried out by a family members pet.call for stricter laws across the board are knee jerk populism at its worst Im afraid. the measures called for will not tackle the (overhyped) problem with dangerous dogs, but will act as socioeconomic apartheid for those who cannot afford to meet the costs your blunt instrument of control. woodrot
from your petition bro"Please watch "My Dog is a weapon" for an idea of what currently happens with no ownership laws in place, no fines for "backdoor" breeders and what happens when you allow Dogs to be used at their owners disposal. One little puppy was used as baiting, where they get a potential fighting Dog to attack it, in order to condition the Dog by reward that attacking a Dog is GOOD and giving it the taste of blood, they then beat the Dog and stumped cigarets out over its body, before dumping it in a park to die. THIS is what needs to change and its FREE for YOU to make a difference."
