Hey

I usually get the 8.04 and find it to be awful - hardly can get on. The very back is probably the best and the 8.19 is really really bad - try to avoid it.

I've written an extended rant in the following post about my experience of FCC trains

http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?5,1065531

The 08.04 is packed.

The combination of people stood EACH SIDE of the doorways, causing everyone to file in / out in single file and the usual commuter reluctance to move down the fecking train mean you can risk being left on the platform.

Ask people to move down the train repeatedly or board at the rear of train as someone has mentioned.

I get the 07.37 or earlier trains for precisely this reason.

    • @NewWave I know how you feel. Like you, I've lived and spent prolonged periods of time in some pretty crazy places and always thought I could handle a bunch of kids. But, no - they got to me and I was shaking like a leaf afterwards. That's what age does to us.  But I did engage with them, so bear that in mind.  My advice would be to never let anything like that stop you doing the things you love. I'm certainly not going to stop using the park, there's no way they get to take away our cherished spaces!  If you see them, just change tack and keep out of their way. My dog won't even go that way again, so that's that problem solved. (If I see them again, I'm going to keep taking photos from a safe distance).
    • Truly horrific. Being passive or fighting back is what many of us think about by violent theft.
    • What ridiculous waste of money
    • Lots of good primary schools within reach of there. Fairlawn, Goodrich, Ivydale and Horiman. Secondary schools you will definitely get into the Harris Academies or Sydenham Girls or Forest Hill Boys, you might just be on the boundary for the East Dulwich or North Dulwich Charter but it changes every year.
