Burn's Night Whisky Tasting, Jan 25th at East Dulwich Tavern

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

We run whisky tastings in South East London and are very excited to have our first ever event coming to East Dulwich in January, at your amazing East Dulwich Tavern.

We will be tasting 5 premium whiskies (priced ?35-?70 a bottle) as we go on a journey around Scotland, via our glasses. In honour of the "Son of Scotland", Robert Burns, we'll raise these drams to celebrate this infamous Scottish celebration.

Note, this is a straight up whisky tasting, but if you want the full Haggis experience, we're also doing a Burn's Supper in Sydenham later that week:

We're super excited to be coming to East Dulwich (and the EDT) later this month for an exciting Burn's Night Whisky Tasting. As it's our first time at this venue we promise there will be a few small surprises and maybe even some bonus drams and other whisky-related merchandise up for grabs to celebrate our inaugural East Dulwich tasting.

Please help support the event by tagging / sharing with anyone you know who might enjoy this experience & we hope to see you there on the 25th too and raise a dram together to celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns.

Thank you

Richard (aka Exploring Whisky!)

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
