Marmora Man
Just a note to say that I had a great pre theatre dinner at this, relatively, new brasserie near Piccadilly Circus. It had a great buzzy atmosphere, fantastic service, a fairly small and affordable menu of brasserie classics.Asanadded bonus there was a pianist and, later, there was to be a jazz singer in a small adjacent bar with stage and also a properly dark and romantic cocktail bar.Give it a go - they deliberately keep a number of tables unreserved for walk ins. civilservant
agree, it's very nice, a worthy successor to the old Atlantic Bar and grill that used to occupy the same spot Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29981-zedel/#findComment-623793 Share on other sites
TopTree
Where in East Dulwich is it? Or is this just a paid advert? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29981-zedel/#findComment-623821 Share on other sites

I make the remarkable assumption that those of us that live in / near East Dulwich occasionally venture outside its confines. As for it being a paid advert - buck up. I've been posting on here for > 4 years with nary a hint of a paid nterest. KidKruger
MM you've been outed.Very clever all that posting on all those subjects, in anticipation of a bar opening on Piccadilly (one day) so you could plug it. And you've been OUTSIDE ED ??! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29981-zedel/#findComment-623847 Share on other sites

RosieH
Have to say that jazz piano over dinner sounds like my idea of hell, but am very much applauding MM for his awareness of life beyond the environs.Actually, I'm moving to Denmark Hill at the weekend, so not sure if I'll still be able to post... Just don't expect to bed in for the long run. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/29981-zedel/#findComment-623882 Share on other sites

You're even getting the hang of the local lingo ("Denmark Hill" sounds so much more pleasant than "Camberwell"). edcam
Agree Zedel is great. It's a really impressive space and the food is good and really reasonable. (I am not Monsieur Zedel!) Otta
For the most part jazz has no place in public. I do like a bit of trad though, the sort of thing they were playing in that "Dacing on the edge" series on BBC recently.
