Low level electrical buzzing on Friern, Upland Road

Has anyone else noticed the low level electrical buzzing noise around the junction of Friern Road and Upland Road.


It seems to be coming from the Barry Road side of Friern somewhere. Can also hear it down towards the junction of Henslow and Upland Road.


It?s getting rather annoying to say the least.

On Bawdale / Fellbrigg there's a sound rather like that made when you blow across the top of a beer bottle. Comes and goes. At first I thought it was just a progression of my tinnitus, but I can't hear it with ear plugs in, so it is definitely a real noise. No idea what it is. It's very irritating.

      Seems to be back on now although pressure reduced especially for hot water via boiler. Hopefully I can have a shower in the morning.

      Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly.  Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc.  And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !

      I know,  absolutely crazy.  A dog has never died because it didn't have a walk, but dogs do die if walked in this heat. Perhaps the owners should put on a thick fur coat, take their shoes off and jog round the pavements, and see how that feels! 🤬
