Are there any courses for beginners in how to use a drill, hang a picture, change a washer on a tap etc?

What I would recommend is Youtube.

There are videos / instructions on how to do all things DIY.

I use it regularly to research things I?m thinking of doing - last year I built a garden office with double glazed windows, based on what I?d picked-up from YT.

It?s the new ?DIY Manual? that I started out with years ago !

Yep, Building Training Centre near Croydon. That's were I went to learn basic DIY a couple of years ago. Brilliant!

I have done some DIY skills courses at the Goodlife Centre based up between Blackfriars and London Bridge. Hands on learning.

Yep. The Goodlife Centre as above is great for beginners. It?s very laid back and friendly.
