More then 10 minutes this lunch time, was stuck on East Dulwich road for ages right up by the junction with crystal palace road, then more traffic queing right past barry road coming down forest hill road, seems the road going down towards rye lane is closed today. there seemed to be a guy manually operating the lights form a box on a trailer by the time I eventually got to them, at one point he missed letting the traffic I was in going through, most frustrating. Very rammed round that part of the rye so would avoid today.

Hi Unclegren, there appears to be alot of roadworks at the moment due to last summer's Olympics. There were no scheduled roadworks allowed over an extended summer period, also TFL were not signing works off on TFL routes. The recent works around Peckham Rye were scheduled projects, so the money can't get diverted to potholes.

All public sector organisations try to use up their budgets before the end of the financial year!!!!

If they go under, their budgets will be less next year, so why wouldn't they do that?

    • I wonder if there is a compromise in that all those attending wear headphones with a special code so they can bluetooth with a central device that streams the music to them, so residents do not have to hear it? there are 'silent' club events I believe. It would not mitigate the weeks of build and deconstruction but is there a case to be made that if you want the privilege of attending this event outside and 'nestled' in the park then the compromise is to have it on phones. This way you show you care for the nesting birds and the environment.
    • Big shout-out to the  lovely ladies at Dolled Up beauty parlour, at 209 Lordship Lane, who resolved a courier mis-delivery problem for me. These stunning ladies have  warm hearts and a fantastic  sense of humour, combined with a great community spirit. I wish them well in their new business at 209 Lordship Lane.
    • Cardtronics do Londis too, so that could be where he went. Worth asking the Police to source CCTV from there and the ATM itself.
    • I was about to suggest the same thing. I wasn't sure of the provider, but it definitely charges £1.50 for withdrawals.
