Bellenden Road is nice, I can walk freely without looking-at-listening-bumping-into the people/shops who'd be in the Rye Lane area.

I'm fine with that & i'm sure i'm not missed over there.

Not looking for Shangri-La though. Just a bit of peace, and a decent coffee.

loving your work here DC.

Bellend it has always been, Bellend it will remain. Even if you were to have "street food" in Bellend it wouldn't improve. Oh, wait a minute "street food", or more commonly known as "food from market stalls", have been offered on Choumert for donkeys.

I disagree - I really like a lot of the shops on Bellenden Road, from the bookshop that has been there for yonks, to The Begging Bowl Thai restaurant. I've eaten there a few times & really enjoyed it.

    • It's Christmas. People are sending presents they've left to almost the last minute,  and returning stuff they've bought online for presents and then  regretted. That's on top of all the usual transactions. The Post Office only has a max of four people on the counter, if you include the one nearest the street. They can't suddenly magic up more space! I imagine going when they open would be the quietest time, but what would I know?
    • Post Office this time of year…I’ve seen shorter queues for Hyperia (new Thorpe Park ride 🤣) Christmas may have been and gone by the time I get to front of queue but wish me luck. Day 3 off tryin! What’s goin on?!
    • Yes Aroma Lab is brilliant. They also work with an app called Paace which lets you save money on your coffee just by getting your steps in! I got a flat white there for £1.50!
