nikki73 Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 we are moving and have to make good some furniture.my daughter drew with a ball point pen on a light wood table.a coin has oxydized the other table leaving dreadful staining. I tried cleaning it off but i think it had already eaten into the wood and there are gauge like white stainsi guess this is a job for restauration? Any recommendations please or ideas to make good? Saffron Posted March 27, 2013 Share Posted March 27, 2013 Try rust remover (the kind you buy for rust stains on fabric) on the oxydized stains. Otherwise, the wood can be lightly sanded and refinished. If there are deep cuts in the wood, it may require some coloured filler before refinishing.
