Have had Dia decorating at our new house for a few weeks and he has done an absolutely incredible job. The walls and ceilings were in a terrible state when we moved in and they now look absolutely immaculate. I highly recommend Dia - he's really hard working, reliable and honest and he works to an incredibly high standard. Lovely guy too. I know he has some availability at the moment. I just used Dia based off this recommendation. He was super! Would 100% recommend, he even spotted problems with our walls we hadn't noticed yet and was incredibly thorough.

A really nice man who was very trustworthy and clearly took immense pride in his work!

Further to this thread, I would also like to make a recommendation for Dia.He has done an absolutely beautiful job painting my bedroom, is very polite and friendly, and I would say has a very exceptional eye for detail! One other point that impressed me was the hours he put in to paint a large space in the shortest time...very hard working! His number is 07468 439891.

I contacted Dia after reading the recommendations for his work on the Forum and he has spent the last 6 weeks completing redecorating my flat. He's done an excellent job at a reasonable price. He takes great care and has a real pride in his work. He's a lovely person and a pleasure to work with. I'd highly recommend him. His contact number is 07468439891

Dia has done a fantastic job with stripping, filling and repainting some of our walls. The rooms seem so much brighter now. He is very neat; unlike previous people we have used for painting, there is not a drop of spillage. He works hard and takes great pride in his work. Highly recommend him.

    • It's worth paying for someone who is properly qualified in my opinion. We did when we bought, but unfortunately the people selling to us had used some sort of mass conveyancing centre in Wales to save a few quid and they were rubbish. When I looked into selling our place I asked the estate agent who came to value it whether we could stipulate that a future buyer should use a proper conveyancer. They reckoned yes, so something you might consider asking for from your buyer if not too late. I guess it depends on demand, if there's a queue of buyers you're in a different place to make demands versus someone's been trying to sell their place for a year. I've used Wendy Burgess several times, it seems she's recently moved to a different practice: https://www.hcnlaw.co.uk/attorney/wendy-burgess/
    • Following on from Sue's post, this document looks useful as a single information source about the continuation of the Poundland brand:   https://www.pepcogroup.eu/media-news/pepco-group-completes-sale-of-poundland/.  From it I get that Pepco, the pre-sale parent company of Poundland, will have a minority share in the business (the CH record for the acquiring company seems to me consistent with that) and that "Under this new ownership, the business will be led by Barry Williams, currently Managing Director of Poundland. The business will continue to operate under the Poundland brand in the United Kingdom (and under the Dealz brand in the Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland)."
