Looking for an excellent cleaning lady

Recommended Posts

I am on the look out for a fantastic, hard-working cleaner. Here are my criteria:

- great attention to detail and someone who can spot the bits instantly that need cleaning

- someone who doesn't just wipe but scubs and cleans properly (wiping I can do myself) especially in the bathroom

- someone who I don't need to point out to every time what in particular needs cleaning but who takes self-initiative such as hangs up laundry if washing machine is full or dirty dishes left out that need placing into dishwasher, old flowers on the table, bins taken out and bags changed and so forth.

- I pay ?10/h and we need someone for 3h every two weeks ideally on same day/same time (during the week)

- We'd like the general clean done every time but add one of these into one session: fridge cleaning, window cleaning, change bedsheets....

- I have high standards so please only get in touch if you are very thorough and I need to see proof of written references and phone references.

- I would like you to do a trial cleaning first and take you on based on that first initial clean. (paid of course)

- I need someone reliable, who can call me or text when they are not available or have to cancel in the last minute, someone who turns up on time and most importantly who I can trust.

- hours may become more depending on results.

Please write a short summary about yourself. I will then get in touch with you.

Our house is a three bed, 2 bathrooms but two bedrooms will not have to be cleaned at present as the occupiers do that themselves. So essentially we are talking about one bedroom, 2 bathrooms, hallways/stairs, living room, dining room and small kitchen.

Many thanks.

Sounds like you want a hell of a lot done in 3 hours, sometimes I think the best way to look at it is how much could you get done to your own standards in 3 hours?

So you're asking for bedroom, 2 bathrooms, hall, stairs, living room, kitchen & extra job eg windows done to perfection for ?30 a fortnight I would salute anyone who can rise to that

    • Another strong recommendation from me from Peckham Rye area. Paul sent Damian to sort out our tripping sockets. We’d had another electrician come and try to fix it a couple of weeks earlier who was not good, but Damian was extremely thorough and methodical in diagnosing the issue and fixing it. He tested every socket to make sure the problem was sorted. He arrived bang on time and talked me through exactly what he was finding and how the problem had likely come about as he went. Very polite, friendly and excellent value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to call them again if we need an electrician. Great team,  great service! I don't expect the OP to test it themselves, I would, but that his my decision.  But you may get Natural Grid to do this free of charge if you ask nicely. I thought the video was hilarious.  The guy shouts don't do this yourself, call in help.

    • Or maybe let @malumbu come round and test it for you, thus potentially getting two birds with one stone 🤣
