That hasn't answered PeckhamPan's  request for evidence to support the statements  you made previously, has it?

Probably because you haven't got any 🤣

Sue - you now want the thread lounged or the posts removed that quote levels of criminality in London.

But let me just get this straight, wasn't it you who was "requesting" evidence of the levels of crime in London, happily saying "I probably didn't have any" evidence. And low and behold I produce some authentic data and you now want the thread lounged or those bits which relate to London/UK being removed.

Tell you what, why not just ask Admin to remove all the posts that disagree with your point of view that London is not lawless, because I'm happy to see it lounged, deleted, the posts you don't like deleted.

In fact - Hi, Joe, guess you've been watching this thread unfold, please feel free to delete any post or part posts of mine you consider to have broken any of the forum rules.

But what I do object to, is having someone (Peckhampan) being allowed to openly say that "I spread mis information" and "throwing untruths about". That is wholly untrue, inaccurate and a lie.

Is this an interagation, because it is beginning to feel like it is, answers, answers you demand, I am not wasting my time trolling around for evidence, its a feeling living in London, seeing the blue tape, the white tents where a death has occurred unnaturally in the street, the road, the park, it can happen anywhere, just read the papers and watch the news, open your eyes because crime at all levels is close by to all of us.

Perhaps you should stop reading the papers and watching the news.  You make it sound like a war zone.

Jazzer - you didn't provide the stats that Sue requested for violent crimes against the person in international urban areas to compare with stats for London, you only provided data for London.  It's like someone being proclaimed the winner of a race when there is only one competitor.

Suggest you stop doing a Gregg Wallace.

Perhaps read my posts properly.

I didn't ask for evidence of levels of crime in London.

To the best of my recollection, I asked you to provide comparative statistics for levels of crime in similar urban areas nationally  and internationally.

I will ask you again. Do you have those statistics?

And to the best of my knowledge I never asked for "bits which relate to London/UK" to be removed. What a very strange thing to say. I presumably meant that your post wasn't specifically  related to SE22, which posts in this section of the forum are supposed to be.

You seem to have a bee in your bonnet about crime in London. Why do you still continue to live here if you think it is such a very dangerous place?

You seem to go around deliberately looking for signs of crime. Why not start appreciating all the good things about living in London, instead?

I haven't made questionable and exaggerated statements that need to be evidenced. Did you see PeckhamPam's earlier post?

"I think Jazzer is quite properly backing off-he can't be bothered with evidence but admits a feeling.  He may wish to back off further after looking at these figures from a report by UCL at the end of 2022 which was a benchmarking comparison of crimes around the world

The figures are homicides per 100,000 inhabitants  - Milan and Rome have the fewest and then comes London.  The report notes that most US cities have a much higher rate, and surprisingly (to me) Asian cities tend to come in lower.

Barcelona
(3.1)
Berlin (2.9)
London (1.4)
Madrid (1.9)
Milan (0.7)
Paris (1.7)
Rome (1.3)

I think this is the first time I have ever bothered to take issue with what is posted on the forum but I feel strongly about the issue of people throwing untruths about.  Vulnerable people read things like Jazzer wrote and curtail their lives out of fear.  Fear brings mistrust of other people and so it goes on."

But keep digging

Sue and JenJenJen, suggest you do your own research and present the results, then we'll see how things stand.

And clearly Admin doesn't have a problem.

Why should we? It's you who is not backing up what you are stating on here.

London is probably currently stab and shooting capital in the world. Its terrible.

To examine the accuracy of your statement one needs data from other international cities for comparison. But I think you're just trolling now.

I'll amend the statement if that makes you happy to "London experiences high levels of fatal stabbings and shootings"

You see , the problem is that what you say above is meaningless given that the levels are lower than many previous years and lower than much of European capitals and most of American cities.

Hello all,

I started a post "PARCEL THEFT - White man on Lime bike, knitted hat (Goose Green - Peckham / Dulwich side roads) not knowing this thread was here. Could those who are able to post any pictures they have of the thief?

Amazon are not meant to ignore your delivery instructions, so ask for compensation as well as a refund if it happens.

Evri do nothing but confirmed parcels are not meant to be left outside.

Ps. I filled a parcel with food scraps & brown bin stuff then topped it with shredded paper so they'd have to dig through.

    • Thank you for the detailed advise @trinidad It is definitely damage we are concerned about. I don’t think Evri would agree to pay the bill to fix our gate or letter box if they were to be damaged as a result of their delivery drivers helper. Our doorbell can be heard from outside when rung so we don’t quite believe the aggressive simultaneous door/letter box banging is necessary. It can be quite a shock it is done very aggressively.  I’ll definitely action the steps you’ve kindly provided along with a phone call tomorrow. I do sympathise with the role drivers have and how busy they are, which is why we tried communicating directly with her but sadly we haven’t succeeded
    • What outcome would you like? Disciplinary action? Not to have the driver back? Retraining? I know there is alot of pressure on drivers to deliver within a set day. if he slams the gate, is it evidence he is causing damage, or is the noise a irritant to yourself? You could put a sign up or buy a signing asking to close the gate gentle???? can you hear the door bell from the door? he might be ringing, not hearing and therefore knocking. In trhe notes section of the be livery page, there is a note section, although there is not 100 per cent these notes would be read as these drivers are constantly rushing.  I did a google search for you, i found this and you can try the envri website Contact Us | Evri   To complain to Evri, you can follow these steps: Contact Customer Service: Call Evri's customer service at 0330 808 5456 for assistance with your complaint.    1 Write a Letter: Address your complaint to Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS27 0WH.    1 Use the Official Website: Visit the Evri complaints page on their official website for detailed instructions on how to submit a complaint.    2 Email or Call for Specific Issues: For issues like missing or damaged parcels, you can email or call 0800 988 8888, which is free to call.    1 These methods will help you effectively communicate your concerns to Evri.   My driver is called anthony, he is brilliant to be honest. I cant fault him.
    • When I have more time and energy, I will look up the actual number of votes cast for each party in that election, rather than the number of seats won. I'm interested to see that you apparently  think that  Boris Johnson did a good job of "leading the country through Covid." Is your memory really that short? I won't stoop to calling Johnson and his cronies names in the way that you seem to think is appropriate for left wing politicians. At least the left wing politicians have some semblance of morals and a concern for people who aren't in some over privileged inner circle and/or raking in money for themselves on the back of an epidemic. I'm not going to open a can of worms on here  by commenting on the disgraceful so called "purge".
    • Can’t imagine what it must be like you have your doorbell rung harshly.
