giggirl
I'm wondering has anyone been to the Pompeii exhibition at the British Museum and if so, would you recommend it? I'm thinking of taking a group of kids at half term. Kids age from boy of 7 up to teenage girl of 14, so do you think it's engaging enough for all of these? Marmora Man
Not sure how good, or otherwise, it is - but I do know it's difficult to book into, we couldn't get tickets for before end May (tho' in part that's due to other commitments). giggirl
May is ideal for me. I'm planning ahead. Like most days out these days it's going to cost an arm and a leg so I just want to make sure that everyone is going to be engaged and inspired to some degree; otherwise it's not worth it. giggirl
Actually I've talked myself out of it. I think an afternoon could be just as well spent at the Horniman. Cassius
That's a shame - I'm booked for May and can't wait. I would have thought that most kids would have loved it - after all mummys are the most popular thing in the BM for young people and the casts of the dead would have been ghoulish in the same sort of way............... on the other hand the Horniman is local and a lot lot cheaper.
