Any recommendations for skip hire locally?

I used Lathams for about 8 months last year and they were great. And yes they organised the permit.

They will sort out the permit, but if you know what you want to load into the skip and can do it fairly quickly, say about 20mins, it's cheaper to get a 'wait and load', no need for a permit...

See attached link to Southwarks website where you can download a list of skip companies that are authorised to issue permits for skips on public roads. http://www.southwark.gov.uk/downloads/download/3416/approved_skip_companies they all seem to charge a similar amount for skips. I have just used Toulouse skip hire who turned up on time and arranged the license. If you have space for the skip in the front garden/drive you wont need a permit. Also if you have space for the waste in the front garden a grab lorry is cheaper...

Has anyone used a grab lorry firm - if so, any recommendations? Most of the official Southwark list seem to be skips..any recommendations and idea of price would be really appreciated!
