how do I contact the police station in Peckham?

My wallet was left in Peckham (Rye street) earlier this evening - I have frozen my bankcards (and there was no spending on the cards) - so someone might have handed it in to the police station (it has a drivers lisc in it) - I am online trying to find out if there is a local police office but can't seem to find it.

Anyone know of a local police station?

There's a big one on Queens Road quite close to central Peckham. It's got a front office where you can walk in and report ask after lost belongings etc

I went there one morning last year to report a crime and it looked like it was permanently closed for public access. There was a phone out side where you could dial 999 or 101. i'd be interested to learn if it has reopened.

I’m sure it’s closed, the nearest one is probably walworth road.

My experience is that it's almost impossible to get police attention, no matter what evidence of a crime you've got, unless you threaten to complain to the IOPC or your MP (perhaps Councillor could work too).

All London Boroughs now only have one police station, so in Southwark, it's Walworth Police Station just off Walworth Road by McDonalds.

Most reports can be made online, or by phone. If you go to https://www.met.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/ there's a Lost & Found branch if you follow the Something Else link. At least you should have the assurance that your report is accurately recorded and categorised, if it's the kind of item that's acceptable to their system.
