Accountant/tax adviser - any recommendations?

Recommended Posts

I'm self employed and think I need an accountant to make sure I'm being tax efficient! Don't earn much - I'm a journalist, but some help would be needed!!

Also my husband and I are considering buying a holiday home in Spain and renting it out so could do with some advice on this from someone in the know - someone who knows about the taxation agreements between the UK and Spain and so on.

Not sure if anyone knows anyone who would be good at both of these things, or even just one of them? It may be two separate people that I need... !

Please send me a message if you've any ideas! Thanks so much, Lucy

    • Not sure what point you are making I have long since been aware of the issues, and would never have gone for it.  Maybe it cannot be applied without capturing damp.  I question why government part funded it.  But I also question why individuals did not do their own research.  This took me five second, it took longer to cut and paste it here: Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors The RICS advises homeowners to get independent advice from a qualified professional who is not affiliated with the installer or manufacturer. They also recommend not installing spray foam in listed or protected buildings without prior consent.   Property Care Association The PCA recommends that homeowners carry out appropriate checks to determine if spray foam is suitable for their roof. They also created a protocol for surveyors and lenders to make informed decisions about properties with spray foam insulation.     HomeOwners Alliance The HomeOwners Alliance recommends that homeowners avoid installing spray foam roof insulation.
