Does anyone happen to know of any classes or any individuals that teach Portuguese at a reasonable price in the local area?

Do you want to learn Brazilian or Portuguese from Portugal? The accents are quite different tough.

I am Portuguese, may I ask why you want to learn Portuguese?

Is that for business purpose or tourism only?

I teach Portuguese to children, my daughter is 6yr and reads/writes

fluently already.

I just want to be able to get a fairly good grasp of the basics - my girlfriend's family are from Madeira and her parents don't speak English that well so I would like to be able to be able to converse in Portuguese.

I charge 20? an hour, but because I only give lessons to children,in this occasion I be wiling to teach you on public places, such as a library.
