Gang in action in East Dulwich

Tonight a gang of three masked men armed with at least a baseball bat, stole my catalytic converter and tried to break into my car.

Luckily a neighbour saw it and frightened them away before they could take more.

Same happened a couple of weeks ago in SE23.

Exactly the same as you have described, three masked men (balaclavas) with a baseball bat thieving a catalytic converter, the police attended and said they'd already done five that evening. Patrol cars were out looking, obviously they still have not been captured. Resulted in the car minus it's cat converter having to be scrapped.

Last night thieves stole our catalytic converter from outside our house at around 8.30pm. 4 masked men, 1 with a metal bar. Just heard the chainsaw or whatever they used and sparks flying. Neighbour filmed it and we both called the police. Both on hold for 5 minutes to 999 before call was answered. Police didn't show up after reporting.

Kids witnessed all this and were scared stiff. Stuff of nightmares, like watching a movie.

There is so much crime, cars stolen, street mugging, vans broken into, parcels stolen from doorsteps. It goes on and on

Gangs often seem to return to the scene of a successful crime hoping for more rich pickings. (They often return to burgled houses a few weeks later hoping to pick up new electronics replacing that they've just stolen!)

These days London is so overcrowded that crime has to rise. Its un-natural for so many people to live in overcrowded places.

Theres no point even buying a nice car, its just a matter of time before something happens to it. My brothers range rover got stolen few months ago and sisters lexus hybrid got jacked few weeks later from different addresses.

Its a bit nuts out there these days.

There are multiple catalytic converter thefts just across the postcode boundary in SE23.

About a week ago we had a hit and run accident with a mini being written off and a BMW X4 also being effectively written off.
