This is a house-share, but you'd get the entire top floor of a big, three-storey house in a very quiet, leafy cul de sac about 5-10 mins walk from Denmark Hill station, plus shared use of lovely open plan living room/dining room/kitchen on middle floor. Sharing with another person already in the ground floor bedroom, who has their own bathroom.

The top floor has two big double bedrooms with loads of light, plus a bathroom, and a small third bedroom for use a study etc. The house has a built-in garage, perfect for bikes or other storage. There is a parking space outside. Bedrooms are furnished with beds/chests of drawer/blinds.

This is for no more than two people, who ideally won't be overly noisy/cooking meals at 11pm etc.

Available from mid-November.

It's £1,800 a month, plus share of bills.

    • Apologies on the tardy reply, but thank you everyone for your responses and suggestions! Unfortunately I couldn't attend the recent EDF drinks because of work (I know right). But will absolutely keep eyes peeled for the next one and try and come down!
    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
    • It's tough being a courier and the pay which is largely based on the number they deliver is miserable. Hence the staff turnover is high. EFRI was previously branded as HERMES but they had to create a new brand name because of poor performance. We get regular courier deliveries and EVRI are by far the worst. They just drop the parcel at the front door - often without ringing the bell. But worst is when they deliver to the equivalent door number on LL instead of ours on EDG. Best are ParcelForce, DHL and DPD by a wide margin.
    • I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.
