Help-Ma-Boab
Ever go to bed without brushing? I used to be guilty of straight tae the scratcher after a night oot, Irn Bru still stuck tae ma teeth. Didn't go to dentist for years, but took le plunge recently and all fine. Surprised me, thought I was in for bad news. Teeth when they are good are they inherited or is it total luck?Think I got lucky.ETA: Reason I was thinking this I've just had a toffee crisp in bed and cant be fecked brushin my teeth. numbers
jammy or what! i'm well jealous of people who don't need ANY treatment after missing years of dental check-ups. s'just not fair...think you were lucky cos it was a toffee crisp, would have been a different story had it been a crunchie ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31671-brushing-teeth/#findComment-639627 Share on other sites

????
Normally people who are over fond of the sauce tend have poor Hampsteads as:1) They crash out without bothering brushing2) there's a lot of sugar in alcoholMaybe you're the exception HMB :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31671-brushing-teeth/#findComment-639658 Share on other sites

northlondoner
I once dated someone who didbt brush at night. So on Monday morning you'd be treated to the remnants of the previous day's roast wedged between the teeth. Not much kissing going on. UncleBen
If you brush your teeth properley then once a day is enough. Twice a day ideal though. Btw he/she could've picked their teeth with toothpick rather than leaving it! charliebubs
I stopped brushing at night for a few years in my twenties, as convinced myself I was causing receding gums!!Not one filling needed until my 30's - so I guess it didn't do any harm!!I'd never be so decadent as to eat a Toffee Crisp in bed. Very luxurious HMB ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31671-brushing-teeth/#findComment-640332 Share on other sites
Help-Ma-Boab
I'm now much more disciplined regarding brossing my dents. I didnt go to the dentist for 15 or so years and was surpised to only have one filling required when i did go quite recently.charliebubs, a toffee crisp in bed is a joy. Its good for a young man to cut loose every now again! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/31671-brushing-teeth/#findComment-640359 Share on other sites
PeckhamRose
I had to take medication which I was told would absorb into the body best in an acidic environment, so I had to take it with cola which is the most acidic thing one can drink. Dentist told me that cola unsettles the coating of the teeth so leave it an hour till brushing the teeth after drinking cola.Just thought I'd share....
