Abellio London strikes: A strike is taking place on Wednesday 1, Thursday 2 and Friday 3 February. A good service will be running by the early hours of Saturday 4 February. These routes will be affected: D

Does this mean there are no P13 buses or like past strikes a few might run? No thought for those who have trouble with mobility.

Three days of unable to get the shops is wrong.

Any news would be appreciated.

Just spent time walking along the p13 bus route in an hour and half I only saw one bus heading towards New Cross.

Whether there are other bus I suspect the Bellenden Road/Choumert Road bus stop will be closed as they are now digging up the road yet again.

The whole thing is becoming a joke.

Saw one 63 at on Peckham Road opposite the bus station otherwise no others. And saw two P13's one going into DKN Sainsbury's going towards New Cross and one going towards Streatham.

A woman on Whately Road said she and her husband had waited an our for a P13 going towards New Cross.

Seems today is a very sparse service on both the 63 and P13, if you catch one, as I did, I felt lucky.

A friend of mine sent this email to his local Cllr. Makes a lot of sense to me.

No response , suspect not action will ever happen.

The P13 is a valuable and very necessary bus route to many many people.

"Dear Cllr Ali

Could you use your exalted position as Deputy leader of Southwark Council to post on the Dulwich Forum when the P13 is running or not running.

Perhaps you or one of your staff could have a call on or prior to bus strike days from TFL to enable them or you to post on the Dulwich Forum if there is a bus to serve the local residents.

If the p13 is not running many people, who you represent

are marooned unable to get to the shops.

As local Cllr perhaps you could do this simple but important service.

Is that not possible?

I look forward to hearing from you."

If you want up to the minute online information about the current status of the P13 or want to know when the next bus arrives at your nearest bus stop, it's here: https://tfl.gov.uk/bus/route/p13/

Southwark doesn't run the P13. All a councillor could do is copy information from the TfL website - and as soon as they did so, it would be out of date.

Thanks for info.

Unfortunately the website does not tell you this.

Just Abeillo is on strike. Very useful

If you click on the name of the bus stop, it tells you when the next buses are. If you click on P13, it will tell you when the next P13s will arrive.

I discovered a site called London Vehicle Finder which pulls all the iBus information which tells you how many buses on each route are currently out in each direction. You have to register, but then you can seach by bus route.

Currently at the time of posting, there are two buses out on the P13 and three on the 63.

    • https://www.letslinkuk.net/ I'm interested to know why the OP didn't find this sort of scheme to work, as I would have thought it was much harder to find someone to do a direct exchange with? Does anybody else have experience of a scheme like this? Happy to be persuaded!
    • I personally think is a great idea Bobbly and would love if there was a section for it. I wouldn't offer free gardening under the "for sale" section as I would expect something in exchange and wouldn't expect our cat being looked after for free under the "wanted" section, as an example.

    • I have fond memories of Govinda's I used to go there  back in the 90's (maybe earlier) for an affordable tasty lunch..I was wondering if its still around. Now I have to make a point of going there. Does anyone else remember a really affordable basement cafe run by the church in a street off of Golden Square? parallel to Regent Street? I also used to love the Vegetarian cafe on Neal Street in the basement (Neal Street Cafe?) and there was an inczredible inexpensive authentic Japanese resturant I use to go to with my Japanese friends (who introduced me to it) tucked away behind Long Acre where that brown brick modern building ('modern' I think it went up in the 90's!) now stands that fronts Long Acre and Neal Street..I think it was called Asakasa or something?
